The Benefits of Inclusion

Last year, DiverseCITY Pittsburgh celebrated our region’s diversity with a festival of music, food and fun, along with a symposium to exchange ideas about the increasingly diverse business world and workforce, and the need to develop a more global presence for businesses in the Pittsburgh region.

This year, we pick up where we left off, digging deeper, bringing in experts, providing practical strategies for putting diversity to work.

“Diversity Works: The Benefits of Inclusion” is the theme of the 2008 DiverseCITY Pittsburgh program series. A variety of symposia and workshops will explore the ways in which diversity enhances the community at large, and how a diverse workforce, in an environment of respect and understanding, is both practical and profitable for businesses and organizations of all sizes and categories.

Through hearing success stories from the Pittsburgh region and elsewhere, and through learning about specific strategies for increasing diversity, attendees to DiverseCITY Pittsburgh 2008 will have a greater understanding of the positive impact that inclusion can have in their businesses and their communities.
